Why Cancer Counselling

Have you been affected by cancer?

The devastating impact that cancer has on all those it touches cannot be underestimated and the emotional impact of the disease on those affected and those closest to them can often be a hidden burden.  With more people being diagnosed with cancer than ever before and over 50% of people living with cancer for over 10 years, the emotional impact of the condition can be utterly overwhelming. 

We Hear You is your local cancer charity, we offer free, professional counselling to anyone who has been affected by cancer or other life limiting conditions.   We support, children, young people and adults as well as carers, family members and friends.

We Hear You is here to provide the emotional support that many people need, we can provide a place where people can say ‘the un-sayable’ and be whoever they need to be.  Our highly trained and experienced counsellors are here to support you.

In 2016 we launched our new adult service in Street, supporting patients as well as family members and friends who have been touched by cancer.

The counselling service in Street is being funded by The Big Lottery and is offered near the Crispin Community Centre at 6 Leigh Road, Street, Somerset, BA16 0HA. Appointments are available on Thursdays between 9.30am -3.00pm.

We also offer counselling across Somerset, Bath and North East Somerset and Wiltshire.

We Hear You also provides an online counselling service for anyone over 16, enabling us to reach people who may otherwise not be able to attend regular face to face meetings.
