We Hear You’s 2018 Mad March campaign is fast approaching, and we want to ask you to help us raise £30,000 to provide 700 counselling sessions for local children and adults affected or bereaved through a wide range of life threatening conditions.

There are so many ways you can help us to fundraise and every penny helps those affected by cancer and other life threatening conditions. You could host a coffee morning, a mufti or dress up day at work or school, a cake sale or a fancy dress night out?  We are also seeking prizes for our hugely popular Mad March Online Auction that will launch on March 12th.

Melissa Hillier, Director said, “We Hear You has seen an unprecedented rise in the number of referrals to its service with a 105% increase in demand over the last five years. Although we have increased the number of weekly sessions we offer to the local community our waiting list is still higher than ever. Our supporters have been amazing helping us to raise funds by running marathons, organising various events and spreading the word, but to meet our growing demand this year’s Mad March is more vital than ever.  It’s such a great way to do something fun and enjoyable knowing that you are helping to support hundreds of families who have been affected by life threatening conditions and bereavement, many of whom call our service a lifeline.”

The need for emotional support for those affected by cancer or other life threatening conditions has never been so great.   WHY… is a small local charity and we rely heavily on the communities we work in supporting us through various fundraising activities.  Get involved and tell us about it, we are here to help with ideas and promote events!
