WHY Cancer Charity

Covid-19 crisis support service

WHY's team of expert counsellors are experienced in supporting people impacted by health-related trauma and bereavement. In response to the current crisis we have developed a crisis support service specifically for those people affected by coronavirus. We can offer you support over the phone to help you cope with the emotional impact of Covid-19. Please contact us on 01373 455255 or email to arrange a telephone appointment.

This new service is for:

  • individuals who have, or have recovered from, coronavirus;
  • their close family, friends and loved ones;
  • those who have been bereaved due to coronavirus;
  • people with a life-threatening condition whose treatment has been disrupted or have been otherwise impacted by Covid-19

The service provides up to four telephone sessions with an experienced counsellor. It's not a counselling service, however those who access the covid-19 service are able to go on our waiting list for counselling once telephone support has ended.
