Woodland Wellbeing
Being outdoors, reflecting on nature, seasonality and growth is proven to aid recovery from illness, encourage psychological healing and development, and help with self-management of health and wellbeing.
Woodland Wellbeing is a weekly outdoors session at the Wise Woods in Box. Running on Wednesday mornings in school term time, these free events are a collaboration between We Hear You (WHY), the cancer support charity We Get It (WGI) and The Wisdom Space (TWS). These free sessions are guided by two specialist and experienced facilitators, one from WHY and one from WGI.
This event is for anyone living with or beyond cancer.
Join us to explore the benefits of a closer connection to nature and take part in solo and group activities designed to enhance your emotional and physical wellbeing.
The next Woodland Wellbeing session runs Wednesday 4th June - Wednesday 25th June (4 sessions)
PLEASE NOTE:
We encourage lift sharing to get to the woodlands as there is a limited number of car spaces available inside and around the woodland space.
The site has steps leading up into the woods and compost toilets. There is no running water currently. Sensible shoes must be worn and a waterproof coat and trousers and thermal mug are recommended, plus warm layers including any blankets and cushions required for comfort. No dogs allowed. Personal rubbish to be taken off site by attendees.
The event organiser will supply journals to record activities but participants are welcome to bring their own.
By providing your information and booking your place at this event you confirm you understand that the event organisers require the requested medical-related information in order to provide safeguarding protection for you while attending their events, and consent to the event organisers downloading, storing and using this information, should they need to take action to safeguard you.
