CEO
I am deeply passionate about supporting children, families, and individuals affected by cancer and other life-threatening conditions. I believe that access to high-quality professional counselling, provided at the right time and in the right place, can make a transformative difference in people's lives. My personal connection to this mission stems from my own experience 10 years ago when my Mum died from a brain tumour. The pre-bereavement counselling I received from WHY helped me navigate that challenging time, find acceptance, and access my inner strength. This experience has fuelled my commitment to ensuring others can benefit from the invaluable services offered by WHY.
With over a decade of professional experience as a strategic local authority and health commissioner of mental health and wellbeing services, I have developed and delivered strategic planning arrangements that have led to improved outcomes for many. I am confident, professional, and dedicated to enhancing access to the free and low-cost professional counselling WHY provides. By embodying the Charity's values of collaboration, innovation, and creativity, I aim to improve the experience for those in need and ensure our services reach everyone who could benefit.
