Cancer counselling charity We Hear You (WHY) is offering women affected by cancer the chance to join Cheryl Sprinkler of local dance exercise phenomenon ‘Mojo Moves’, thanks to funding from the Tampon Tax Community Fund.

The charity have joined up with larger-than-life character Cheryl Sprinkler, aka Ginny Adams of theatre company Rare Species, to offer free passes for Mojo Moves, a ‘feel good immersive comedy aerobics workout’ aimed at boosting mood through exercise. Cheryl says: “My classes are all about reclaiming your mojo back from the universe and are ideal for people going through difficult times as they allow you to completely lose yourself and dance like no one’s watching. There’s no such thing as a wrong move, you’re just adding the “flavour” and it tastes good!”

Communications Officer Lucy McMahon says “At WHY we’re always looking for new ways to support people affected by cancer or a life threatening condition and it’s fantastic to join forces with the force of nature that is Cheryl Sprinkler and offer the chance to get involved with a very popular local activity. Thanks so much to Cheryl/Ginny for all her support, which has included a three-hour fundraising ‘Mojo Moveathon’, a mass warmup at the final mile of Rachel Clark’s ‘365 for WHY’ challenge and signing up for the Bath Half in March, which she’ll be running in character! Passes are limited, as is the funding from the Tampon Tax, so if you’re affected by cancer or a life threatening condition and would like a free pass for Mojo Moves, give us a call on 01373 455255. It’s first come, first served, but if the demand is there it’s something we might well do more of, so let us know how it was for you!”

Mojo Moves offers four adult classes throughout the week and an adapted version for parents and carers to join in with their pre-school age children. Class times are available at https://www.mojomoves.co.uk/, Facebook and Instagram. WHY’s free passes for Mojo Moves are available on a first come, first served basis to women affected directly or indirectly by cancer or a life threatening condition. You don’t need to be on WHY’s waiting list or currently in counselling to qualify. The offer will run until the passes have been used and participants are welcome to bring a friend or partner with them. To find out more and request a pass, call We Hear You on 01373 455255 or email ruth.knagg@wehearyou.org.uk.
